This week, we mark the sixth anniversary of living in our home. If anyone would have told me six years ago that we would someday host a film shoot of our friend Natalie's new song, "I Am Changed", I would have been beyond thrilled.
And you know what else? I would have said that's what I always wanted my home to be.
Here's Natalie's daughter in awe of her mom's talent.
I've been thinking about how this house in particular has been working out its blight from being boarded & vacant up for so long. I don't think I'm anthropomorphizing our home, but I've noticed that it is slowly working out the toxicity of housing squirrels, mice, raccoons and poisonous spiders, and as it does that, the more our house breathes life to me and others.
It's now a home--made more beautiful from nights like this.
It was such a beautiful experience with crazy talented musicians.
