A couple of weeks ago, my friend Brittney told me about her cousin, Candice. She asked if I would help tell her story and so I did. I wrote about Candice--the amazing person she is and the obstacles she's faced in 2020, including homelessness.
And you responded. You responded with emails, texts, Venmos and checks; you asked if there was anything else she needed. You gave money for her kids to have coats and boots; assistance to get her long-running car problems fixed; aid with paying off her energy bill. Candice will be able to have a home again.
Candice has been saying that 2021 will be her year. Thanks to the generosity shown here, it will be.
Love showed up for Candice.
